DEFRA has confirmed that the Countryside Stewardship (CS) application window for Mid Tier and the four Wildlife Offers for agreements with a 1st January 2020 start date is due to open on Monday 18th February 2019. It is understood that the closing date for applications will be 31st July 2019.
All four Wildlife Offers (the simplified versions of Mid Tier) should be available for online applications using the Rural Payments service. It is expected that the Wildlife Offers will be very similar to those offered in 2018.
The standard Mid Tier application packs will need to be requested online and received via email. It is hoped that this should reduce the excessive delays and errors seen with 2018 application packs.
