DEFRA has confirmed an extra £6m funding will be made available via the Farming Recovery Fund to assist farmers affected by the flooding events during February 2020. The areas where this funding is to be made available to eligible farmers include: parts of East and North Yorkshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire and Herefordshire.
We are waiting for DEFRA and the Environment Agency to confirm the specific eligible areas within those locations. The RPA is also apparently looking at improvements and simplifications to the application process. As soon as we have further information we will let you know.
